About Me

My Why…

Anxiety had been an unwelcome visitor in my life for many years. However, in 2020 I was forced to take control of my mental health. I had already tried different forms of therapy, and I was looking for something that would really ignite change.

My Husband passed away in 2019 at the age of 30. Watching him being diagnosed and treated for brain cancer certainly left quite a few scars on my psyche. I was in the depths of grief when anxiety took over.

I became obsessed with my own health, and the health of my loved ones. The anxiety was debilitating, every hour of every day I would check my body for new sensations. I had diagnosed myself with many illnesses, and spent countless hours researching different diseases. I didn’t trust my GP and was convinced they had missed something.

Eventually I was diagnosed with with health anxiety. A family member suggested hypnotherapy and I thought, why not! I worked alongside my hypnotherapist, and in a few months I had stopped being obsessed with my health.  Since then I have never looked back!

Hypnotherapy provided me with an understanding of how anxiety is created, and most importantly, a clear picture of how I could overcome it. I have always been passionate about supporting people, and have worked in the care sector for nine years in various roles, before I found hypnotherapy. I knew once my therapy had ended, that I wanted to change my career and become a psychotherapist and hypnotherapist to support others. I trained with CPHT (The Clifton Practice), who are renowned as providing the gold standard of hypnotherapy training in the UK. Since then I have met so many amazing people.

When I’m not in my Hypnotherapy Hut, you will find me on a walk with my little dog and family. I have recently become a Mum and love spending time with my Son. Things that spark joy in me are; live music, sunshine on my skin, holidays, the colour green, good food and being with friends.
