Flying Phobia

Flying Phobia

After having a fear of flying for as long as I can remember, I decided to try Hypnotherapy. My fear of flying was quite severe and, although I still got on a plane quite regularly. I would cry throughout the flight, get hot, have awful thoughts about what might happen and be really short-tempered. I decided that before I could take my children on a plane for the first time, I had to do something about it, and that's where Alex at Oak Leaf Hypnotherapy helped me. I was very honest and told her that I didn't believe it would work for me! However, after just three sessions, it did. Last week I flew to Iceland and I felt totally different about the whole airport and flying experience. I was calm and actually enjoyed looking out of the window. When there was turbulence I knew it was just that, and everything was fine. I actually found on my holiday that flying wasn't the only thing hypnotherapy had affected. On day 2 of our trip, we had planned to go whale watching but when we arrived to board, the staff warned us that the sea conditions were rough. Any other time I know that I would never have got on to the boat after hearing that. But I did get on and was absolutely fine. I put this down entirely to hypnotherapy changing the way I think about the things I am not in control of. Alex was a dream to work with - so calming, understanding and was 100% confident it was going to work for me, even when I told her it wouldn't! Thank you!
